1909 Genesee Farmer's Union

On the back of the photo: A group picture taken on the day of the forming of a farmers union in 1909. A few Moscow men in the group who were here to help get union started.

According to Lillian Otness in her book, A Great Good Country, the large grain elevators on present day Main Street Genesee “were built by the Genesee Farmer’s Union and are operated by the Genesee Union Warehouse Company, the largest business in town”.
